Groundzero is a webmaster resource center that
first appeared online in April 2001 under the domain name of www.gzxs.cjb.net
with the www.ground-z.org domain name being registered later that
same year in early September. Now in it's 4th incarnation, Groundzero
(Version 4.0) has a new design and a tighter focus.
Groundzero is the home of the Groundzero Design Award. This award
program was the initial reason for the creation of this website,
and since then has evolved into a webmaster resource center with
original webmaster articles, and reviews on various design tools,
webmaster resources, web hosting and software.
Version 4.0 of Groundzero was launched in December of 2004, with
a brand new look and a more direct focus to provide a more user
friendly website. With many changes over the years (design and
content wise) Groundzero will always continue to be a place where
webmasters and website owners can find information, products and
services to help with website development.
This website also used to publish the Groundzero Webmaster Newsletter,
a free eZine that was published on monthly basis (the 28th of
every month). Due to a variety of different reasons (the main
one being time constraints), it is no longer published with the
last issue sent out September 28 2003. Even though new issues
are no longer created, you can still read all 21 of the published
issues in the
newsletter archive.
